The C.P.B. Project is committed to ending Chronic Kidney Disease by preparing our next generation of leaders...our Youth. Our Kidney Kids program is geared toward offering events and activities to teach young people about leading healthy lifestyles and how to properly take care of their kidneys. Our programs also aims to educate and empower youth to support their family members and others who have been affected by Chronic Kidney Disease.
Are you 6-17 and want to show your commitment to showing your kidneys love by taking the KIDNEY LOVE PLEDGE. You have the ability to change the effects of Kidney Disease. (Link to pledge)
NFL PLAY 60
NFL play60 is a national youth health and fitness campaign focused on increasing the wellness of young people by encouraging them to be active for at least 60 minutes a day. We are a proud community partner of FuelUp to Play60!
As part of our commitment to children affected by Kidney Disease, we are a proud sponsor of Camp All-Stars. The camp provides a unique opportunity for children in Maryland ages 10 through 21 who have chronic kidney disease, including those on dialysis or with a kidney transplant, to spend time with other kids living with kidney disease.
A third of all children and half of all African American and Latino children born today will develop diabetes or “sugar” in their lifetimes. Our lifestyle is making us sick. If we don’t do something today, this may be the first generation of children to live shorter lives than their parents.
